This is Frankie, one of our new cats. Actually, she came to us out of nowhere right before Christmas. In the scheme of things, it took a relatively short amount of time to coax her into the house. Now, she is totally spoiled. Mom bought her a plush cat bed, shaped like a gray cat, that is always on my bed, and she loves it. She is quite demanding for attention, but will under no cercumstances allow you to pick her up. She is, after all, a little princess. Not long after she came to us, her brother showed up at our back door, and took to inside living like a duck to water. He is absolutely precious, but I do not have a good picture of him yet. I promise to get one posted before I leave for Italy.
A quick photo I snapped when Venus and Mars were the closest to the Moon that they have been in years.
Last but not least, this is one of the many photos I snapped a few nights ago when the Moon was the closest to the Earth that it had been all year. It was freezing that night, and I wish it had been less cloudy. Still, I think this was one of the better photos.
In other news, I finally finished packing my suitcases. I am a little, well maybe more than a little, nervous about getting them off my train in Arezzo all by myself. But, I figure that if worst comes to worst. I will just kick them off the train! Mostly, I am dreading the travel. Hours upon hours on a cramped airplane and in hectic airports. I'm trying not to think about it.
